Direct Sales
Normally we don’t directly sell, but do get involved in selling into existing accounts where we are the prime contact. (Pattonair, Waddingtons etc).

Sales Support
Supporting sales folks!

Consultancy
We see this role as one where the customer recognises the need for some kind of data capture but isn’t sure where or how to best go about it.  As a payable piece of business we’d go in, perform analysis and help identity potential areas for development.

 Involves:-
  Customer laison
  Business advise.
  Help with technical strategy.
Results:-.
 Consultants Report.


Project Management
Although generally an integral part of any project, it can be considered as a service in it’s own right.

 Involves:
  Customer laison.
  Budget control.
  Team control.
  Time control.


Analysis
This is usually done as a precursor to developing a system when the customer knows what the project is.  We see analysis as separate to design.  Analysis is understanding his existing systems and problems whereas design is the process or producing newer, better ways of doing it. The main reason for keeping the two separate is that it requires different skills and may be done by different teams as two completely separate pieces of business.


 Involves:-
  Understand customer problem. (Business Requirements)
  Research current system if any.
  Identify problem areas.
  
Result: 
Propose Possible solutions. 
Document: Current operation and goals

  
System Design

 Involves:
  Proposing solutions and proposing a specification.
  Platform/tools.
Results:
  Produce functional specification.
  Technical Specification.
  Acceptance criteria
  Define Test Plan.
 
Programming

 Involves:
Design.
Coding.
 Testing.
Version Control. (Release Notes).

Results:
  Runtime code.
Application Source available.


Documentation
We see this as the production (or not) of end user manuals and documentation.
 
 Results:
  System documentation.
  End user documentation.

System Testing
This is performed at Codeway’s premises.

 Result:
Run through acceptance plan.
  Change.
  

Installation and Configuration
This involves Codeway staff getting the system ready for the user both here, and on site where necessary.
 
 Involves:
  Install at office.
  Install on site.
  Install Hardware.
  Install & configure operating system.
  Install Application.
  Install support services ( PC Anywhere)
 Result
  System ready to test.

Commissioning
This involves Codeway and customer working as a team to test and accept the system on site.

 Involves
  Testing system against test plan.
  Obtain customer sign off. (acceptance)

 Result
  Working system.

Training
 
 Involves:
  Key personnel training.
  End user training.(hardware and software training)
  Third party product training. (OS training).
  
 Result:
  A trained person.
  Training material.
Support

 Involves:
  (Contract support).

  Remote Support. Office hours 9.00-5:15
  Remote Out of Office hours support.
 
On site support Office hours.

Warranty


 Result:
  Time based warranty - Bug removal only.


System Review

 Involves:
  Customer discussion on system performance/improvements/modifications.
