Codeway ALX Batch Head

Print and apply labels even faster in batch mode at speeds up to 25 metres per minute

The Codeway CW-D2 Batch Apply head is a direct apply head for Avery ALX 92x printer dispensers to label batches of products on conveyors.

Avery ALX printer dispensers operate at high print speeds (12-16 inches per second) and have ribbon saving for preprinted labels. They have larger label and ribbon roll capacity to minimize changes.

The conveyor runs at print speed so the head can roll the label down on to the product. The sprung dispense edge and roller allow for 50mm product size variations.

A package detector controls the label position and triggers printing. Labelling software allows for standalone or networked operation with local or central control.

The CW-D2 Batch Apply head in the photo is for labelling plant pots and trays for garden centres. A scanner reads the barcode on the care tag so the printer can look up the description and price before printing the label.
