They double up as desktop and portable units.
At a glance
Marks & Spencer and members of the MR BIG Major Retailer Barcode Integrity Group approved them for this purpose. MR BIG preferred suppliers to achieve CEN/ANSI grade A or grade B. The minimum standard for labels is grade C.
Dual purposeQuick Check 800 is two instruments in one: an easy-to-use Pass/Fail tester and a powerful measuring and analysis tool.
Mouse and wand scanners give full CEN/ANSI resultsBoth units support mouse and wand scanners. Choose the one with right aperture for the type of barcode, such as 6 mil for 100% EAN. Mouse scanners give you more consistent results, thanks to better control of illumination and scanning angle, but some users prefer to use a wand. Both provide full CEN/ANSI results including print contrast.
Pros and cons of handheld lasersWhen you want to use your Quick Check as a portable, and to check barcodes on curved surfaces, you will appreciate the speed and convenience of a hand-held laser. But remember it only checks for decodability.
