Barcode decoder for interfacing wands and data collection devices to PCs and computer terminals

The Intermec MicroBar 9730 can either decode the output of a simple bar code wand or be a universal solution for data connecting up to four devices including scales and printers to PCs and terminals via their keyboards and RS-232 ports.  

Versatility
MicroBar 9730 is ideal in any warehouse, hospital, laboratory, service centre, office or library where there is a need to read bar codes and integrate to an existing application.

Connectivity
It has interfaces and cable options for over 1500 PCs and video terminals such as IBM, HP, Wyse and includes USB support.

Data handling
Masking modes allow data to be edited before it is transmitted to the host application.

The MicroBar 9730 is suitable for connecting bar code wands and scanners to PCs in a wide range of applications for homes, offices, libraries, healthcare and industry, and for connecting multiple input devices to a single terminal in retail.

The 9730 is also an application platform that provides extremely powerful data formatting capabilities. Format according to type of symbology, bar code length, data structure and input port. EASY INSTALLATION
The 9730 uses EasySet software with Windows interface for quick, straightforward installation. A single unit connects via keyboard or RS-232 port without modification to help you simplify stocking, reduce delivery time and provide flexibility for future updates.

Inputs: Up to 4 inputs via 9 pin D sub, RJ 6 and RJ 10 Pin connectors for hand-held bar code scanners (wand, CCD or laser), fixed bar code scanners, Magstripe readers (decoded or undecoded), badge readers, and serial RS232 TTL/C devices (smart-card, OCR readers, scales, etc.)

Outputs: Wedge to PC keyboards, including IBM PC’s/compatibles, Apple Mac ® , and many retail terminals (including IBM ® 3XXX, NCR, Wyse, etc.)

Advanced Features: User programmability of data format, variable time-out, code identification, preambles and postambles, intercharacter and intermessage delays, and many others
