Visidot multi item scanning solutions for meat, beer and pallets
Beer Kegs Traceability
Beer kegs are expensive and tend to “disappear”.
Still, most beverage vendors did not install a traceability system since existing solutions are too expensive.
The beverage industry has been in search of a cost effective traceability solution that enables accurate billing for lost kegs and does not interrupt the logistics process.
ImageID now offers a solution, applicable to all types of beverage kegs.
The solution is cost effective, very reliable (despite the metal/liquid environment) and enables traceability of the kegs as well as the content.
Visidot offers special advantages to the meat and fish industry.
Meat, poultry and fish products need to be replenished every day. Suppliers handle large quantities, often with very short lead time from order to dispatch.
Such operation generates shipping errors, which have a strong impact on profitability.
Visidot is successfully operational in:
- Campofrio – Spain,
- LDC– France,
- Emsland Frischgeflügel – Germany,
- Westfallen/Westfleisch – Germany,
- SeaChill - UK (Fish)
- Plukon - The Netherlands.
Meat, poultry and fish products need to be replenished every day. Suppliers handle large quantities, often with very short lead time from order to dispatch. Such operation generates shipping errors, which have a strong impact on profitability in this market.
Visidot enhances the speed and efficiency of the logistics processes while eliminating all shipping errors, therefore, it's gaining popularity amongst meat suppliers.
Nippon Pallet Pool implements Visidot for pallet traceability in Japan
Nippon Pallet Pool (NPP) deployed the Visidot system to manage over 3 million pallets inventory.
NPP offers vendors an efficient physical distribution scheme. Customers can pick the pallets at any one of its 220 depots across Japan and return them in any other.
Accurate stock control is essential for the company's profitability. NPP evaluated several traceability technologies including RFID. When Visidot was introduced by EZIS Solutions, ImageID's partner in Japan, they soon concluded that it is the most practical solution in terms of cost, accuracy and system management.
Following an intensive evaluation and trial with excellent results, NPP proceeded to implement the first systems in a long term roll-out plan, aiming for full traceability across its service network.
Code way installed a Visidot system to check automotive parts for the BMW Mini plant. The installation at a component manufacturer ensures all the item are loaded into stillage slots in eaxct assembly sequence.
