Requirements

The company’s first requirement was to identify goods arriving from the factories and match quantities to orders.

The final system supports the whole process from receipt and putaway to picking and despatch, including cross-docking of bulk orders.

Hand terminals enable staff to match goods to orders and do online quality checks at the point of receipt.

The receiving process identifies bulk ship orders and send the good directly to despatch.

The warehousemen scan batch and location bar codes for every transfer in and out of stock to ensure location records are always up to date. Picking from known locations is fast and accurate.

Despatch
Staff verify all consignments using hand held terminals to scan the boxes on the pallets and to check delivery labels.
